LION: expanding support for firefighters in Colombia

On December 13-15, AMGlobal’s Andrés Varona accompanied client, Lion Group, Inc. on their first corporate mission to Colombia. During their visit, AMG and Lion’s staff met with the commanders of Cali’s Escuela Interamericana de Bomberos, one of the premier training institutions for firefighters from across the Americas. As an essential part of the trip, the team traveled to Buenaventura, Colombia’s largest commercial port. In Buenaventura, the group convened with the commander of the city’s fire corps, as well as the emergency response unit of the port authority, la Sociedad Portuaria de Buenaventura. As part of this initial and successful trip, the team had the opportunity to showcase Lion’s latest firefighting innovations, including equipment for combating structural and wild fires. Through these important encounters, the mission also discussed gear sales, as well as the signing of MOUs to provide refurnished equipment to some of the communities most affected by the devastating climatic effects of El Niño phenomenon. In the coming months, AMGlobal will work closely with LION to keep expanding its sales presence and social footprint in this strategic regional market.
