WORLDWIDE

CHALLENGE

As the internet has expanded, the Public Interest Registry – operators of .ORG – wanted to create an online platform specifically for non-profits around the world: .NGO. But to do this they needed input and community support to build an online space embraced by the diverse global NGO audience.

* Estimated

10 Million NGOs

but only 30% are online

AMGLOBAL SOLUTION

AMG worked on nearly every phase of the program – from product design, to outreach in more than 20 countries, to internationally recognized NGO research – providing strategic advice on the needs of the NGO community and the best platform to meet those needs. Today the “OnGood” online community (containing the .ngo and .ong domains) is being adopted in countries around the world.

  • Developed a global outreach plan and led an international outreach team winning endorsements and support across Africa, Latin America, Middle East and Asia

  • Built an internationally recognized validation system for the new domains, so NGOs – wherever they are in the world – can be recognized as genuine

  • Garnered global visibility for the initiative through the creation of multilingual collateral and web content, plus international speaking, radio and TV appearances

  • Initiated and structured partnerships, with NGO association and leaders, building credibility and helping PIR deepen its distribution network in the global south
